5G technology offers higher bandwidth and lower delays, hence lower packet loss than previous RAN technologies, but packets loss can happen in the intermediate devices (gNB/routers/Switches/UPF etc.,) while packet travel from source (UE) to the destination (core network) and vice-versa. Packet loss is a very common problem in the networks, and it is very challenging for the network operators to identify where it is getting dropped and what is the reason.
