Control de papilomatosis bovina utilizando arete de cobre y clorobutanol con activador inmunológico, Jinotega 2018

The research was conducted at Hacienda Hungría, Jinotega, Nicaragua, in a group with 18 calves affected with bovine papillomatosis (BPV), a completely randomized design was applied to evaluate two treatments (T1 - copper arete, yatrénic acid and casein, T2 - chlorobutanol, yatrénic acid and casein) in three types of papillomas with three replicates of six animals, under controlled conditions. The number and type of papillomas disappearing per treatment, the hematocrit behavior and the duration of treatment were considered. The data were transformed with natural logarithm and processed with the statistical program InfoStat 1.1, using Anova and Tukey’s separation test; for the hematocrit variable, the T-Student test was used. With copper earring there was a greater decrease in the number of papillomas and time in days; no significant difference was found between treatments. Between initial and final hematocrit there was a significant difference (p<0.05), with copper arete there were lower levels. Both treatments control bovine papillomatosis without considering the type according to its form. The treatment with copper arete cannot exceed six weeks because it causes a deficit in the hematocrit of the treated animalsLa investigación fue realizada en la Hacienda Hungría, Jinotega, Nicaragua, en un lote con 18 terneros afectados con papilomatosis bovina (BPV), se aplicó un diseño completamente al azar para evaluar dos tratamientos (T1 -arete de cobre, ácido yatrénico y caseína, T2 – clorobutanol, ácido yatrénico y caseína) en tres tipos de papilomas con tres repeticiones de seis animales, bajo condiciones controladas. Se consideró el número y tipo de papilomas que iban desapareciendo por tratamiento, el comportamiento del hematocrito y la duración del tratamiento. Los datos fueron transformados con logaritmo natural y se procesaron con el programa estadístico InfoStat 1.1., utilizando Anova y la prueba de separación de Tukey; para la variable del hematocrito se utilizó la prueba de T-Student. Con arete de cobre se presenta una mayor disminución en la cantidad de papilomas y tiempo en días, no se encontró diferencia significativa entre los tratamientos. Entre hematocrito inicial y final hubo diferencia significativa (p<0.05), con arete de cobre se presentaron los niveles más bajos. Ambos tratamientos controlan la papilomatosis bovina sin considerar el tipo según su forma. El tratamiento con arete de cobre no se puede exceder de seis semanas porque provoca un déficit en el hematocrito de los animales tratados
