Santamera is a village in Atienza, marked by its location and its historical and multicultural past. This article analyses some recently discovered paintings in the sacristy of the local parish church. The church, with a Romanesque origin, is dedicated to the Magdalena, but in its evolution also shows Reinaissance and Baroque forms. There can be found some exceptional paintings in which we can distinguish two moments associated with the spirituality of the bishopric of Sigüenza at that time.The earliest, a Last Judgement, seems to remind the clerics their lack of ortodoxy and the need for spiritual renewal within the church.
