Salud mental y Covid-19: una meta-revisión de investigaciones y evidencias

Research on the effects of COVID-19 on mental health is abundant. This work aims to systematize the main findings on this topic to have a broad and complete view of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health at a global level. After briefly describing the current state of mental health in terms of incidence, treatment and investment at the international and local levels, a systematic literature review was carried out, focusing on published review articles and meta-analyses (24 articles), to know what the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health are, what the main factors (risk and protection) associated with the relationship between COVID-19 and mental health are, and what prevention and intervention actions have been carried out and their effects on preventing mental health issues. Finally, some implications are raised for the future of mental health.La investigación sobre los efectos del COVID-19 en la salud mental es muy abundante. El presente artículo sistematiza los principales hallazgos sobre el tema para tener una visión amplia y completa sobre los efectos de la pandemia de COVID-19 en la salud mental a nivel global. Tras describir brevemente el estado de la salud mental actual en términos de incidencia, tratamiento e inversión a nivel global y local, se realizó una revisión sistemática de literatura que se enfocó en artículos de revisión y meta análisis publicados (24 artículos), para conocer qué efectos ha tenido la pandemia de COVID-19 sobre la salud mental, cuáles son los principales factores (de riesgo y de protección) asociados a la relación entre COVID-19 y salud mental, y qué acciones de prevención e intervención se han realizado y qué efectos han tenido. Finalmente, se plantean algunas implicaciones para el futuro de la salud mental
