However, the simple rheological models, such as the model of Zener or that of Poynting-Thomson, suitably reflect the behavior in a limited domain of frequency of loading. Consequently, the use of the generalized Maxwell model (with a high number of branches) can be necessary to cover a wide frequency spectrum.
