El síndrome compartimental constituye una emergencia de tipo quirúrgico la cual requiere de un diagnóstico y abordaje tempranamente oportuno con el fin de disminuir la aparición de posibles secuelas y complicaciones. Las manifestaciones clínicas de dicha patología son amplias sin embargo el signo pivote es la presencia de dolor desmedido en relación con la lesión física presente. La realización de la fasciotomía, de manera temprana, es la medida terapéutica ideal tanto para aliviar la sintomatología del paciente como evitar la aparición de secuelas.
