Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) has an essential role in cervical cancer metastasis. Sappan wood extract (SWE) from Caesalpinia sappan contains metabolites that have pharmacological effects and can potentially inhibit metastasis by targeting the protein markers.
