: Contemporary African Art History and the Scholarship

" A panel of fifteen scholars debated crucial issues confronting the field and surveyed the gains, challenges, and prospects of contemporary African art within the discipline of art history. One exciting aspect of this discussion is that readers did not have to wait for the print version of Nka to follow it ; the roundtable entries were posted, and could be responded to, on the Duke University Press blog as they were received. Les 15 chercheurs invités ont débattu des questions cruciales qui se posaient et, après avoir examiné les réussites et les enjeux, ils se sont attachés à cerner les perspectives qui s'offraient à l'art africain contemporain au sein de la discipline histoire de l'art. Belle surprise : les lecteurs de NKA n'ont pas eu à attendre la version papier de la revue.
