Educação patrimonial na escola, com a escola e para além da escola: uma conversa com professoras e professores em diálogo com Paulo Freire

The aim of this text is to conduct a dialogue with teachers about heritage education in the so-called formal environment of education, without neglecting to consider the potential of its relationship with the non-formal envrironment of education. Thefore, the debate starts from the guidelines of heritage education established by the Ordinance/Iphan nr. 137/2016, which are described and detailed, demonstrating how the thinking of the educator Paulo Freire permeates and influences the concept of heritage education established by the Historical and Artistic National Heritage Institute, in Brazil. The argumentative path points in the sense that the detailed guidelines defend a heritage education based on a dialogical, reflective and critical perspective, with the effective participation of communities and people. Following the teachings of Paulo Freire’s work, heritage education must assume its political dimension that takes into account, in a horizontal and democratic way, the different knowledges, perspectives and cosmovisions regarding cultural heritage and its preservation processes. Keywords: Heritage education; Paulo Freire; heritage; memoryA pretensão deste texto é fazer um diálogo com professoras e professores sobre a educação patrimonial no chamado ambiente formal da educação, sem deixar de considerar a potencialidade da sua relação com o ambiente não formal. Para tanto, o debate parte das diretrizes da educação patrimonial instituídas pela Portaria/Iphan nº 137/2016, as quais são descritas e detalhadas, demonstrando como o pensamento do educador Paulo Freire perpassa e influencia a concepção de educação patrimonial instituída pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional, no Brasil. O caminho argumentativo aponta no sentido de que as diretrizes destrinchadas defendem uma educação patrimonial pautada numa perspectiva dialógica, reflexiva e crítica, que deve ser desenvolvida com a participação efetiva das comunidades e das pessoas. Seguindo os ensinamentos da obra de Paulo Freire, a educação patrimonial deve assumir sua dimensão política que leva em consideração, de uma forma horizontal e democrática, os diferentes saberes, olhares e cosmovisões perante o patrimônio cultural e seus processos de preservação.
