Background: Major trauma patients experience a 20% mortality rate overall, and many survivors remain permanently disabled. In order to monitor the quality of trauma care in the Trauma System, outcomes assessment is essential. Quality indicators on outcome can be expressed as quality of life, functional outcome, and others. The trauma follow-up system was created within the Romagna Trauma System (Italy) in order to monitor the trauma network and assess its long-term outcomes.
