التلوث الميكروبي لأحواض السباحة في محلية الخرطوم

Swimming pools have been found to be a reservoir of different types of microorganism and through this many contagious infection can be contacted from these pools. The aim of this study was to evaluate the microbial quality of swimming pool in Khartoum Locality the study was conducted (30) samples collected from pools(hotels, clubs, residential complex) and they were collected and analyzed form March to September 2019 the sample were placed in sterile container and transported in to the National health laboratory and microbial tests were conducted to detect total viable count, Coliforms, FaecalColiforms, Escherichiacoli, Staphylococcus aureus. The microbiological examination were accordance with WHO Standards. The study showed that the bacteria lodes varied among the swimming pools .the total viable count ranged from 0cfu /mLto2× cfu/mL there was 17 Samples out theStandard limits.Thecoliform count rang from000MPN/100mL to 1.6MPN/100mL.theStaphylococcus aureus ranged from.000 cfu/100mL to 2.8× cfu/100mL. TheFaecal coliform was detected in 10 sample.and TheEscherichia coli was detected in 3 samples. We can concluded that most of swimming pool in KhartoumLocality was contaminated .this is indication of poor bathers hygiene and poor compliance of standards there for. There is aneed to increased monitoring of recreational facilities, increase bather hygiene education
