The aim of this paper is to discuss the changes that have or not occurred in modelling in geography with the agent approach. The choices made in matter of modelling level, form of the relationships between different levels, degree of heterogeneity of the elementary entities as well as the articulation between bottom-up and top-down processes are discussed through a series of examples.
