Subjective listening tests are an important method to evaluate the performance of audio algorithms and of sound reproduction systems. However, listening tests are a costly and complex task whose reliability can be affected by several nuisance variables such as lexicon ambiguity and contextual biases. To help mitigate these aspects, a preliminary investigation on the effects of audio perception on physiological parameters is presented in this paper. In particular, the correlation between the subjective assessment of perceived sound quality and the affective reaction elicited by specific sound stimuli is analyzed and reported
