Digital knowledge exploitation: ICT, memory institutions and innovation from cultural assets

There has been considerable recognition of the regional embeddedness of the knowledge-based economy and its uneven geographical incidence, with mainly urban or metropolitan areas being the crucibles of knowledge-intensive activities.
