The use of diary writing on teaching writing recount text : a case study at the tenth graders of SMA AL-Adzkar Kota Tangerang Selatan

This study is focused to describe the implementation process of using Diary Writing in teaching writing recount text At The Tenth Graders of SMA Al-Adzkar Kota Tangerang Selatan The research employs a case study research, in which the instruments come from teacher?s note, student?s writing documentation, and interview. The population of the research, moreover, was 24 students from the 10th grade of science class. The sample was obtained by using purposive sampling technique resulting 6 students in the class. Findings show the use of diary in teaching writing recount text could help and develop students? writing, also build their writing habit. The teacher explained and instructed in procedural teaching practice to diary usage. However, the problems were limited time at the activities and lack of the students? knowledge. Generally, the use of diary gave a creativity both the teacher and the students, and made the students motivated in learning writing.
