DAMPAK PENYULUHAN DENGAN VIDEO MENYIKAT GIGI TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PEMELIHARAAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA SISWA MI NURUL HUDA DANAWARIH KABUPATEN TEGAL

Dental and oral health problems at MI Nurul Huda Danawarih, Tegal Regency, were found to have 80% of their teeth were problematic, so that knowledge of dental and oral health in school-age children needs special attention. Efforts to increase knowledge of dental and oral health are carried out by extension efforts, including using video media for brushing teeth. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of counseling with video brushing teeth on the knowledge of dental health maintenance in students of MI Nurul Huda Danawarih, Tegal Regency.The research method is a quasi-experimental method, the population in this study is 34 students and the sample is taken by total sampling. The design of this study was before the counseling was carried out a pretest using a questionnaire sheet, then the counseling treatment was carried out using a video brushing teeth and a post-test using a questionnaire sheet after the counseling, to measure the level of knowledge of dental and oral health maintenance.The results showed that the level of knowledge of students before counseling with video brushing teeth was in the good category of (44%), and after counseling it increased to (91%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the video brushing teeth has an impact on increasing students' knowledge of maintaining oral and dental health
