Requirements specification activity in a human-readable and formal representation is a crucial task while developing a complex system. If the meaning of requirements description and their fragments can be handled, Stakeholders can produce more effective requirement specifications of a higher quality. To that end, an ontology is developed to control capturing requirements in a formal way. The proposed ontology is built using Protege tool. This paper focuses on developing a generic ontology that can be used to define different concepts of requirements description.
