The following statement is the basis of my PHD Thesis: in social sciences, the canine presence is often set between two interceptable concepts. Not really "someone" nor "something," dogs are never studied for what they really are. Where does the dog stand in sciences ? How can one observe it as an understood being ? How can one study the uniqueness to its own existence? These are the key questions that express the problematic to this field of research.
