International audienceAccording to Popper, the scientific statements concern the properties of physical entities and then it is necessary to determine how to refute or not to refute these observation statements. He suggests using rules of objectification: the statements can be subjected to tests and thus may be refuted. We shall show what is interesting for the training of students in the scientific approach: distinguish science and dogmatic assertion by a refutation criterion, discern what we refute in the actual act of refutation, and distinguish non-refutation and acceptance.
