The paper describes how object-oriented methods applied to the design of input signals for system identification are implemented in a MATLAB program. It is shown that, from a few simple input signals with desirable properties for system identification, the use of aggregation and maximum-length sequences in Galois fields facilitates the creation of large numbers of input signals with the same properties but with a wider range of periods. Novel methods for implementing the operations involved are described in detail. A user-friendly interface allows the design of an input signal to be accomplished in three easy stages without the need for familiarity with the underlying technology
