Support of motherhood and parenthood in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis deals with financial and non-financial support of Czech families with children under the age of 3. It defines all terms related to the period of maternity and parental leave and attaches illustrative procedures for the calculation of individual benefits and the calculation of entitlements to these benefits. A simple international comparison is mentioned, focusing on the possibilities of parents with children under the age of 3. The basis of the practical part is research focused on the awareness of Czech mothers about financial and non-financial support from the state. The conclusion of the thesis contains the suggestions and recommendations of the author concerning the raising of awareness of Czech mothers, both in the period before the birth of the first child and during maternity and parental leave.Bakalářská práce se zabývá finanční a nefinanční podporou českých rodin s dětmi do věku 3 let. Vymezuje veškeré pojmy související s dobou mateřské a rodičovské dovolené a přikládá názorné postupy výpočtů jednotlivých dávek i výpočtů nároků na tyto dávky. Je zmíněna jednoduchá mezinárodní komparace se zaměřením na možnosti rodičů s dětmi do věku 3 let. Základem praktické části je výzkum zaměřený na informovanost českých matek ohledně finanční a nefinanční podpory ze strany státu. Závěr práce obsahuje návrhy a doporuče-ní autorky týkající se zvyšování informovanosti českých žen-matek, jak v době před narozením prvního dítěte, tak i v době mateřské a rodičovské dovolené
