Comparison of statistical computational environments in the context of statistical analysis

This bachelor thesis aims to introduce selected statistical computational environments and their comparison based on multiple statistical analyses. The thesis consists of four parts. The first part introduces the selected programmes, which are Stata, R, IBM SPSS Statistics, Microsoft Excel and Statgraphics Centurion. The second part is theoretical, thus it explains the analyses such as hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, regression analysis and time series analysis. The third part applies the selected analyses in each of the programmes and debates the results. This section also mentions the data used and the sources of the data. The last part focuses on general comparison of the programmes in terms of the analyses as well as the type of user standpoint.Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na představení vybraných statistických výpočetních prostředí a jejich vzájemné porovnání na základě několika statistických analýz. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí. V první části jsou představeny programy Stata, R, IBM SPSS Statistics, Microsoft Excel a Statgraphics Centurion. Druhá část je teoretická, kde je vysvětleno testování hypotéz, analýza rozptylu, regresní analýza a analýza časových řad. Třetí část aplikuje zmíněné statistické analýzy ve všech vybraných programech a shrnuje jejich výsledky. Jsou zde také představena použitá data a jejich zdroje. Čtvrtá část se soustředí na celkové porovnání daných programů, a to jak z pohledu vykonané analýzy, tak i z pohledu typu uživatele
