Receivables and their manifestation in accounting

The main purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis is to define the specifics of receivables and to describe their manifestation in accounting and accounting statements. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of receivables, their creation, as well as method of valuation and classification according to individual criteria. Attention is paid to financial statements, describing the manifestation of receivables in accounting statements, and elaborately defining the sections of a balance sheet, which is used to report different types of receivables. The practical part analyses the manifestation and significance of receivables in ten financial statements of selected companies operating in the same industry. The obtained accounting data is analysed by means of partial calculations, followed by an evaluation of the findings.Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je vymezit specifika pohledávek, popsat jejich projev v účetnictví a účetních výkazech. Teoretická část je zaměřena na charakteristiku pohledávky, její vznik, způsoby oceňování a členění podle jednotlivých kritérií. Pozornost se věnuje účetní závěrce, popisuje projev pohledávek v účetních výkazech, podrobně definuje oddíly rozvahy, ve kterých se vykazují jednotlivé druhy pohledávek. Praktická část analyzuje projev a významnost pohledávek v účetních závěrkách deseti vybraných firem ze stejného odvětví. Získaná účetní data jsou analyzována pomocí dílčích výpočtů, následně je provedeno zhodnocení zjištěného stavu
