Comparison of the causes of income inequality between men and women in Estonia and Sweden

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the causes of income inequality between women and men in two countries of the European Union, Estonia and Sweden. Estonia is a country with a relatively high gender pay gap, while Sweden belongs to the countries with a lower gender pay gap. In the first chapter, I deal with generally valid causes of the gender pay gap. The second chapter focuses on general policies that are applied against the specific causes of income inequality. The third chapter focuses on the specific policies of the European Union. The last chapter is divided into several parts, the first part focuses on the evaluation of individual causes in both countries based on the literature, the second part contains a comparative analysis of causes based on current data, followed by the last part, which consists of data discussion.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vyhodnocením příčin příjmových nerovností mezi ženami a muži ve dvou zemích Evropské unie, Estonsku a Švédku. Estonsko je zemí s poměrně vysokým rozdílem, kdežto Švédsko patří mezi země s nižším rozdílem v platovém ohodnocení. Práce je členěna do 4 kapiotol. V první kapitole se zabývám obecně platnými příčinami. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na obecné politiky, které jsou aplikovány proti konkrétním příčinám příjmových nerovností. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na konkrétní politiky Evrospké unie. Poslední kapitola je rozdělena do několika částí, první část se zaměřuje na vyhodnocné jednotlivých příčiny v obou zemích na základě literatury, druhá část se potom věnuje komparativní analýze příčin podložené aktuálními daty, na kterou navazuje poslední část, která se zabývá diskusí dat
