Management of alternative theatre – case study (Venuše ve Švehlovce)

This bachelor thesis is concerning theatre management of alternative theatres. This is demonstrated on the example of the theatre Venuše ve Švehlovce. The purpose of this thesis is to describe management tools of this theatre, compare it with management of the theatre Vila Štvanice and describe the main management challenges and problems based on this comparison. This thesis concerns the analysis of the main management challenges and limitations that Venuše ve Švehlovce faces. These challenges and limitations are based on quality research in form of semi-structured guided interviews with members of management of Venuše ve Švehlovce and Vila Štvanice. The benefit of this thesis is the description of the main management tools in alternative theatre and a proposition of solutions for the main problems and challenges connected to them.Bakalářská práce se zabývá managementem nezávislého divadla Venuše ve Švehlovce. Cílem práce je popsat fungování managementu tohoto divadla, porovnat ho s managementem divadla Vila Štvanice a na základě získaných informací určit, jaké jsou největší hrozby a problémy divadla. Práce se zabývá analýzou hlavních manažerských výzev a problémů, kterým čelí divadlo Venuše ve Švehlovce. Tyto výzvy a problémy jsou definovány na základě kvalitativního šetření, konkrétně rozhovorů s vedením divadla Venuše ve Švehlovce a s produkčním oddělením divadla Vila Štvanice. Přínosem práce je popis základních manažerských činností v nezávislém divadle a návrhy na řešení hlavních problémů spojených s těmito činnostmi na základě provedených analýz
