Analysis of structured products

The main aim of this diploma thesis is the analysis of structured products. The concept and classification of structured products are presented at the beginning. Furthermore, individual financial instruments that fall under structured products were defined. Their systematization will show how structured instruments can be divided according to their properties. The second chapter explains methods for structured product valuation. The third chapter focuses on investment attractiveness of structured products. We will discuss the change in derivative parameters and in the underlying asset, the use of option strategies and exotic options. The fourth chapter identifies the main factors influencing the prices of structured products. The fifth chapter is focused on valuation of tree investment certificates. This chapter will show how to solve the problem of valuing structured products.Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce byla analýza strukturovaných produktů. Na začátku jsou uvedeny koncept a klasifikace strukturovaných produktů. Dále byly vymezené jednotlivé finanční instrumenty, které spadají pod strukturované produkty. Jejich systematizace znázorní, jakým způsobem se dá rozdělit strukturované instrumenty podle jejich vlastnosti. Ve druhé kapitole jsou uvedeny metody oceňovaní strukturovaných produktů. Ve třetí kapitole jsou probrány způsoby zvyšování investiční atraktivity strukturovaných produktů. Mezi způsoby zvyšování investiční atraktivity probereme změnu parametrů derivátu, změnu podkladového aktiva, používání opčních strategií a využití exotických opci. Ve čtvrté kapitole jsou identifikovány hlavní faktory ovlivňující ceny strukturovaných produktů. V páté kapitole je praktická ukázka ocenění třech certifikátů. Tato kapitola ukáže, jakým způsobem se dá vyřešit problém s oceněním strukturovaných produktů
