The application of Business Intelligence tools in management accounting in a selected company

This thesis focuses on the design of a planning and strategic management system in a selected small enterprise and the creation of follow-up reporting through the Business Intelligence tool. The theoretical part summarizes the basic theoretical knowledge in the areas of management information systems and management accounting with a focus on plans, budgets and the Balanced Scorecard system for measuring and managing business performance. In the practical part, the strategic objectives and Balanced Scorecard measures are defined for a selected enterprise, and a system of enterprise budgets is proposed. The resulting outputs are subsequently implemented in the Power BI software.Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na návrh systému plánování a strategického řízení ve vybraném malém podniku a tvorbu návazného reportingu prostřednictvím nástroje Business Intelligence. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty základní teoretické poznatky z oblastí manažerských informačních systémů a manažerského účetnictví se zaměřením na plány, rozpočty a systém měření a řízení výkonnosti podniku Balanced Scorecard. V praktické části jsou pro vybraný podnik definovány strategické cíle a měřítka Balanced Scorecard, zároveň je navržen systém podnikových rozpočtů. Takto vzniklé výstupy jsou následně implementovány v prostředí aplikace Power BI
