'닮음변환'을 중심으로

학위논문 (석사) -- 서울대학교 대학원 : 사범대학 수학교육과, 2021. 2. 최영기.While Korean students learn more about Euclidean geometry earlier than other countries, they learn transformation geometry less(Jung, Jang, Kim, Kwon, Kim, Seo, et al., 2016). Therefore, in this study, we proposed a way to find consistency and systematicness of a geometric curriculum in Korea, focusing on transformation geometry based on curriculum standards. For this, the importance of transformation geometry was discussed in terms of mathematical structure and the structure of knowledge of Bruner(1960). 'Structure' in mathematics education was originally influenced by the philosophy of 'structuralism', meaning something more essential than patterns or laws of mathematics(Nam, 2007). Therefore, in this study, the search for 'invariant' in terms of mathematical structure was regarded as the key idea of transformation geometry. In addition, in terms of the structure of the geometry curriculum, transformation geometry includes both the idea of ​​the movement and the function, and it is considered that the transformation geometry can be presented as the structure of the geometry curriculum. The core characteristics of the structure of the curriculum proposed by Bruner(1960) are close connectivity and high transferability, and transformation geometry has those kinds of characteristics. Bruner(1960) proposed a 'spiral curriculum' to teach the structure of knowledge, which is in line with the basic principles of continuity and sequence, which are the principles of organizing learning experiences proposed by Tyler(1949)(Lee, 2006). It is also related to the concept of curriculum 'connectivity'. Therefore, in this study, the transformation-based perspective revealed in the US Common Core State Standards for Mathematics(CCSSM) curriculum and the 2015 revised mathematics and curriculum standards were analyzed in terms of curriculum connectivity. As a result, the topics of transformation geometry that can be dealt with in school geometry were 'congruent transformation’, ‘symmetry’, 'similar transformation', and 'analytic approach to transformation'. In the case of CCSSM, the curriculum standards for each topic were structured to have connectivity, but in the case of Korea, the connectivity of the curriculum standards for each topic was somewhat insufficient. Therefore, among the topics of transformation geometry, 'similar transformation' was selected, which is important but not emphasized in Korea, and the relevant curriculum standards were selected, re-stated, and structured based on the ‘Framework for Stating Curriculum Standards’ proposed in this paper. It was proposed based on Arreola(1998), Lee et al.(2014, p. 79)”, and Kim et al.(2018, p. 322)”. The re-stated curriculum standards were reviewed by peer researchers to secure reliability and validity. When re-stating and structuring the curriculum standards from the perspective of ‘similarity transformation’, the key ideas that students can have when learning ‘linear function slope’ may change. Students can recognize all similar right-angled triangles from the perspective of continuous equivalents in which the inner ratio is maintained, and by treating all similar right-angled triangles, which are equivalents, on the coordinate plane, students can connect a constant inner ratio with a constant slope. In addition, for the concept of ‘similarity’, the concept of similarity to the general figure can be formed which is beyond the level of recognizing the similarity limited to polygons. In this paper, using the 'parabola' as an example, the concept levels of students are analyzed using the learning progressions of transformation proposed by Fife et al.(2019) as a framework. It was inferred that if the curriculum standards were re-stated and sequenced from the perspective of 'similarity transformation', the number of students forming a high conceptual level of similar transformation would increase. Finally, the implications of this study and future research topics were presented based on the above analysis and suggestions.우리나라는 다른 나라보다 유클리드 기하를 더 일찍, 그리고 많은 내용을 배우지만 변환을 통한 기하 지도 내용은 적게 다루는 편이다(정영옥, 장경윤, 김구연, 권나영, 김진호, 서동엽 외, 2016). 이에 본 연구에서는 변환기하를 중점으로 우리나라 기하 교육과정의 일관성과 체계성을 모색하는 방법을 성취기준을 중심으로 제안하였다. 이를 위해 변환기하의 중요성을 학문수학의 구조와 Bruner(1960)의 지식의 구조 관점에서 각각 논의하였다. 수학교육에서 ‘구조’라는 것은 본래 ‘구조주의’ 철학에서 영향을 받은 것으로, 단순히 패턴이나 수학 법칙을 넘어선 보다 본질적인 것을 의미한다(남진영, 2007). 이에 본 연구에서는 학문수학의 구조 관점에서 ‘불변량’에 대한 탐구를 변환기하의 핵심 아이디어라고 보았다. 또, 기하 교육과정의 구조 관점에서 변환기하는 이동과 함수의 아이디어를 모두 포함하며, Bruner(1960)의 ‘동일한 교육내용’으로 변환기하가 기하 교과의 구조로 제시될 수 있다고 보았다. Bruner(1960)가 제시한 교과의 구조가 가져야 할 핵심적인 특징은 긴밀한 연결성과 높은 전이성이며 변환기하는 그러한 특징들을 가지고 있다고 볼 수 있다. Bruner(1960)는 지식의 구조를 가르치기 위해 ‘나선형 교육과정’을 제안하였는데 이는 Tyler(1949)가 제시한 학습 경험을 조직하는 원리인 계속성과 계열성과 그 기본 원리를 같이 하며(이홍우, 2006) 이는 교육과정 ‘연계성’ 개념과도 관련이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미국 Common Core State Standards for Mathematics(이하 CCSSM) 교육과정과 2015 개정 수학과 교육과정 성취기준에 드러난 변환기하학적 관점을 교육과정 연계성 측면에서 분석하였다. 분석 결과 학교 기하에서 다룰 수 있는 변환기하의 주제는 ‘합동변환’, ‘대칭’, ‘닮음변환’, ‘변환의 해석적 접근’이 있었다. CCSSM의 경우에는 각각의 주제에 대한 성취기준이 연계성을 가지도록 계열화되어있었으나 우리나라의 경우에는 해당 주제에 대한 성취기준 연계성이 다소 부족하였다. 이에 변환기하의 주제 중에서, 중요하지만 우리나라에서 강조하여 다루고 있지 않은 ‘닮음변환’을 선정하여 관련 성취기준들을, Arreola(1998)의 ‘학습 목표(learning objective) 진술의 필수 요건 3가지(조건, 행동, 기준)’, ‘수업 목표 작성을 위한 체크리스트’와 이광우 외(2014, p. 79)의 ‘성취기준의 의미’, ‘성취기준 진술 지침’과 김종윤 외(2018, p. 322)의 ‘성취기준 질적 제고의 요건’을 근거로 하여 본 고에서 제안한 ‘성취기준 진술을 위한 기준틀’을 기준으로 변환기하학적 관점으로 재진술하여 계열화한 후, 동료 연구자 검토를 통해 신뢰도와 타당도를 확보하였다. ‘닮음변환’의 관점에서 성취기준을 재진술하여 계열화하는 경우, ‘일차함수 기울기’를 학습할 때 학생들이 가질 수 있는 핵심 아이디어가 달라질 수 있다. 학생들은 내적인 비가 유지되는 연속적인 동치류의 관점에서 모든 닮은 직각삼각형을 인식할 수 있으며, 동치류인 모든 닮은 직각삼각형을 좌표평면 위에서 다룸으로써 학생들은 내적인 비가 일정한 것을 기울기가 일정한 것과 연결할 수 있다. 또한, ‘닮음’ 개념에 대해서도 다각형에 한정되게 닮음을 인식하는 수준을 넘어서서 일반적인 평면도형에 대한 닮음 개념을 형성할 수 있다. 본 고에서는 ‘포물선’을 예시로 ‘닮음변환’에 대해 높은 개념 수준을 형성한 학생과 그렇지 못한 학생의 개념 수준을 Fife et al.(2019)가 제안한 변환기하 학습경로를 분석틀로 사용하여 분석하였다. 이때 ‘닮음변환’의 관점에서 성취기준을 재진술하여 계열화하는 경우, 닮음변환에 대한 높은 개념 수준을 형성하는 학생이 많아질 것으로 추론하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서는 이상의 분석 및 제안을 바탕으로 본 고에서 도출한 시사점과 후속 연구를 제언하였다.Ⅰ. 서론 1 Ⅱ. 학교 기하의 구조로서 변환기하 7 1. 학문수학의 구조로서 변환기하 8 2. 기하 교육과정의 구조로서 변환기하 15 Ⅲ. 연구 방법 18 1. 성취기준 연계성 분석틀 18 2. 성취기준 진술을 위한 기준틀 21 3. 동료 연구자 검토 26 Ⅳ. 변환기하와 관련된 성취기준 연계성 분석 28 1. 미국 CCSSM 28 가. 합동변환 29 나. 대칭 32 다. 닮음변환 33 라. 변환의 해석적 접근 35 2. 우리나라 2015 개정 수학과 교육과정 38 가. 합동변환 38 나. 대칭 39 다. 변환의 해석적 접근 40 3. 미국과 우리나라 성취기준 연계도 41 Ⅴ. ‘닮음변환’의 주제에 대한 성취기준 재진술 방향 제안 44 1. 동료 연구자 검토 결과 49 2. 성취기준 재진술 55 가. 초등학교 성취기준 55 나. 중·고등학교 성취기준 70 3. 변환기하 개념 수준 분석 사례 97 Ⅵ. 요약 및 결론 100 1. 요약 100 2. 결론 및 제언 103 참고문헌 107 Abstract 112Maste
