El artículo propone rastrear diversas figuras del espectador tanto manifiestas como implícitas que se encuentran en Jauss y Rancière. A través de la estética de la recepción la figura del espectador, específicamente la de un receptor, asume un protagonismo que será el eje central del presente trabajo. Describiremos el recorrido de las diversas miradas para identificar figuras del espectador, y así realizar un análisis de la relación entre espectador y autor de la obra. Por un lado el espectador hermeneuta y por otro el espectador emancipado como extremos de comprensión y de la relación que los autores generan con su espectador.
