Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Center

Part of the University of Kansas, the Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Center strives to document the fantastic diversity of life on earth, uncover its intricate patterns, and tell the grand stories that emerge from this research. The museum maintains research inventories of seven million plant and animal specimens representing life on earth, past and present. The inventories and their associated information are used for undergraduate, graduate, and public education, as well as research, and public and professional service. Education programs include gallery activities and hands-on science workshops for school groups, week-long themed public science events, and summer camps for young people. Scavenger hunts, which encourage students to explore the galleries with an eye for discovery, are available in PDF form from the website.
