Academic strides hfavebeen mede on tsudies concerning intercultural eduation in Japanese universities, as for example, curriculum and counseling. What seems to be lacking, however, is the viewpoint which to form the concrete method of fuidance based on careful understanding about each foreign student with a peculiar culture. I had worked in another university as a vice-director of international office, administering foreign students for the last two years. At that time I handled considerably problems concering daily studied and the privete lives of foreign students. Pursuing these cases, I gained a clear and concrete understanding of the thinking pattern of foreign students from Asian country, especially those from china
