AbstractThis research is motivated by the relatively inadequate short service ability of badminton due to a lack of learning variation and a lack of specific learning to improve badminton short serve ability. The objectives of this study were: to determine the effect of target play on badminton short serve abilities. This study used a pre-experimental design, namely one group pretest-posttest design to determine the effect of action on one group with 12 treatments. This design has a pre-test and posttest to compare conditions before and after being treated. The subjects in this study were all students of class X MAS Al-Fatwa Kubu Raya, totaling 23 students. The test in this study used the SPSS 16 T-Test.
