HUBUNGAN ANTARA KECERDASAN EMOSIONALDENGAN RESILIENSI DALAM MENGERJAKAN SKRIPSI PADA MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN BIOLOGI

Resilience is the ability of individuals to rise from problems or difficulties encountered in various productive ways. Resilience is influenced by the ability to control oneself so that individuals can be calm and focus on solving the problems at hand. Resilience is also influenced by belief in one's ability to be able to solve a problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and resilience in students who are preparing a thesis. The location of this research is at the State University of Jakarta, this research was conducted from November 2021 to February 2022. This study used quantitative methods. The subjects in this study were 62 students of Biology Education, State University of Jakarta, who were preparing a thesis. The measuring instrument used in this research is the resilience scale, emotional intelligence scale. The results of the prerequisite test are known that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. Statistical hypothesis testing was carried out with the stages of linearity test, correlation test, regression test and calculation of Pearson's coefficient of determination at = 0.05. Based on the results of the study, the correlation coefficient value was 0.256 (low correlation level) with a determination coefficient of 0.066 and the regression equation model formed was 0.126X + 60.625. Based on these data, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and resilience with the percentage of emotional intelligence contributing 6.6% to the resilience of students of biology education study program. Based on the results of the study, 37% of respondents had resilience in the good category and 27% of respondents had emotional intelligence in the good category
