Sustainable drainage: analysis of its application in the access route to the Industrial Polo of Manaus (PIM)

The urbanization of the occurrences of the last plannings a decades-old planning, great changes in the natural hydrological cycle, waterproofed areas in long places, where the cities are con-verging for the occurrence of floods, bringing great habitations and natural resources, environ-mental, social and environmental to City. Sustainable Drain Systems (SUDS) are part of an evolution of the human view on drainage, where it aims to optimize conventional drainage sys-tems at the source of the drainage, increasing the infiltration of plural waters, attending to su-perficial and as well as problems that serve Brazil, and cities such as floods that serve Manaus. In this sense, the work sought, based on a theoretical framework and visual presentation, as potential for the implementation of SUDS avenues on Avenue Ephigênio Salles, an important road, with socioeconomic and environmental appeal, such as technical access to the Industrial Pole of Manaus. Based on the research, of a theoretical descriptive-exploratory nature and con-textualization of the observations of the existing urban drainage system observed in a field visit, it was listed as potential techniques, indicating its application in the area. The analysis that still included, finally, that such changes can still be implemented with an attempt to reduce the cur-rent system, which currently has as overload, deficiencies in the operation and many operations and technical and structural changes, aligned management, the urban of instruments public ser-vice to achieve sustainability of the drainage system on the road and in the city of Manaus.A urbanização das cidades sem um planejamento adequado trouxe ao longo das últimas décadas, alterações no ciclo hidrológico natural, grandes áreas impermeabilizadas, habitações em lugares inadequados, onde esses pontos convergem para a ocorrência de alagamentos e enchen-tes, trazendo grandes prejuízos físicos, econômicos, sociais e ambientais a cidade. Os sistemas sustentáveis de drenagem urbana - SUDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) fazem parte de uma evolução da visão humana sobre a drenagem, onde essa abordagem visa otimizar os sistemas de drenagem convencional agindo na fonte da drenagem, aumentando a infiltração das águas pluviais, controlando o escoamento superficial e diminuindo assim as vazões pluviais, e mini-mizar a problemática envolvendo enchentes e alagamentos que ainda atingem fortemente o Brasil, e cidades como Manaus. Neste ensejo, o trabalho buscou apresentar baseada no aporte teórico e perceptivo visual as potencialidades de implantação das técnicas do SUDS na avenida Ephigênio Salles, importante via, com apelo socioeconômico e ambiental, como por exemplo o acesso ao Polo Industrial de Manaus. Com base na pesquisa teórica, de natureza descritiva-exploratória e da contextualização das fragilidades do sistema existente de drenagem urbana observadas em visita de campo, foi relacionada as técnicas potenciais, inferindo sobre sua apli-cação na área. Por fim, a análise demonstrou que tais técnicas sustentáveis quando adotadas poderiam contribuir com a minimização da demanda do sistema existente, onde atualmente possui muitos desafios como sobrecarga, deficiências na operação e/ou manutenções e instabi-lidades técnicas e estruturais, alinhados ainda, a efetivamente de instrumentos de gestão pública para alcançar a sustentabilidade do sistema de drenagem urbana na via e na cidade de Manaus.3Nã
