ANALISIS PERAN SATUAN POLISI PAMONG PRAJA PADA PENERAPAN NEW NORMAL DI KABUPATEN PACITAN

The Civil Service Police Unit or abbreviated as Satpol PP is a regional apparatus tasked with maintaining peace and public order and enforcing regional regulations. The organization and working procedures of the Civil Service Police Unit are determined by a Regional Regulation. The main tasks and functions of the Satpol PP are to enforce regional regulations and regional regulations, maintain public order and peace, and carry out community protection. At this time, the Satpol PP also acts as the Security and Law Enforcement Sector for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 in Pacitan Regency. In this new normal era, the role of Satpol PP is needed as a regional regulation enforcer to implement the applicable Perbup. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate the role of the Pacitan Regency Civil Service Police Unit in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of the new normal in Pacitan Regency. The role of the Civil Service Police Unit in handling this is by carrying out educational activities, as well as conducting Justification Operations to provide a deterrent effect for violators of existing regulations.
