This resource provides an introduction to the use of satellite remote sensing in oceanography. Topics include the advantages of using satellites, some of their capabilities, and some examples of missions and programs to study the ocean. There is also a set of activities on the water cycle, food webs in the ocean, tides, and ocean currents. A page of links to related sites and a reading list of books for teachers and students is also included. Educational levels: Intermediate elementary, Middle school
