Teaching Issues and Experiments in Ecology: Ecology of Disturbance

In this unit, students examine published data that address the ecological consequences of enviromental disturbance (fire, hurricanes, landslides, etc.). Disturbance is a useful topic in the teaching of ecology and about disputes in science.
