This Java applet displays the amount of daylight an area receives on a given date. The program can be set to any major urban area (or latitude and longitude), and shows the position of the Sun for the desired settings, daylight hours for the month and year, azimuth and elevation, twilight hours, and path with an horizon view. A downloadable demonstration is also available. Educational levels: General public, High school, Undergraduate lower division, Undergraduate upper division
