Le but de la thèse était de fournir une caractérisation détaillée de l'hydro-désoxygénation catalytique (HDO) de la bio-huile de pyrolyse et de comprendre les principales voies réactionnelles. Quatre catalyseurs au Ni-P ont été préparés et caractérisés par différentes méthodes (XRD, FT-IR, H2-TPR). L’HDO de l'acétone, l'acide acétique, le 4-éthylguaïacol et le furfural a été réalisée. Le paramètre le plus influent était la température et une sélectivité élevée (64%) en aromatiques était obtenue. Le 2,4-diméthylphénol et le 2-éthyl-6-méthylphénol étaient les intermédiaires les plus importants dans l’HDO du 4-éthylguaïacol. La principale voie d’HDO du furfural était la décarbonylation.
