Dans le cadre d’une histoire culturelle de la Compagnie de Jésus au début de la modernité, je propose d’étudier les pratiques spirituelles aurales chez les jésuites au XVIe et XVIIe siècles. Je me concentrerai sur l'analyse de l’utilisation du sens de l’ouïe dans un corpus documentaire qui va des "Exercices spirituelles" d'Ignace de Loyola (et sa méthode de la compositio loci) jusqu'aux plus célèbres "Cantiques spirituels" composés par ses héritiers missionnaires.
