International audienceThe teaching of geometry is a challenge for the profession. Many teachers find themselves helpless and struggle to identify the issues involved. This book offers a synthesis of research work in geometry didactics for a wide audience (teachers, trainers, students or researchers, etc.). Why teach geometry? What content? How can we ensure that the gap between primary and secondary geometry is not an insurmountable obstacle for students? In the second part, we also find concrete proposals for teaching situations and progressions for the main topics of elementary geometry.
