Rehabilitation and assistive engineering technologies are emerging as promising solutions to develop support systems that improve elderly and post-stroke people's independence to perform daily living activities such as walking, sit to stand, stairs up/down, etc. Many research projects are carried for the development of exoskeletons, to assist mobility, increase motor abilities of the carriers, or as auxiliaries of neuromuscular rehabilitation.
