Objectives: To analyse the aortic dilation’s (AD) follow-up in giant-cell-arteritis (GCA), and to identify factors associated with a progression of AD. Patients and method: In a cohort of 532 patients, 34 patients present with AD and are devised intro three groups according to their progression: fast (FP), slow (SP) et not-progressive (NP). Their follow-up is studied through a single center retrospective study; factors associated with a rapid progression are identified through a multivariate analysis. Results: The FP patients are older (p=0,003), and present atherosclerotic carotid disease (p=0.02) or cerebrovascular (p=0.03) than other group.
