An increase in social inequality as threat to Lithuanian national security: assessment, causes and possible solutions

Increasing social inequality, insufficient poverty, unemployment assessment, and income distribution are one of the major threats to the national security of Lithuania. Object of the research - Increase of social inequality, socially excluded groups, unemployed people (low income citizens of the Republic of Lithuania) - threat to Lithuanian national security: threat assessment, reasons, possible solutions. The paper examines the tasks: the concepts, the essence and theories of social exclusion, poverty, socially excluded groups are revealed. To analyze the factors influencing social exclusion and poverty, empirical research was carried out in order to evaluate the increase of social differences as a threat to the determinant of Lithuanian national security, proposals and recommendations for reducing social exclusion and ensuring national security
