Transatlantic relations‘ crisis in the 21st century

Already in the beginning of the 21st century transatlantic economy was recognized as the largest market in the world and constituted 54% of the world‘s GDP and 40% of purchasing power. Nine out of twenty world‘s highest defence spending countries are member states of NATO, and, according to data collected in 2012, the USA and the EU supported world‘s developing countries by more than 120 billion US dollars. All referred aspects prove that the significance of transatlantic relations is of global importance. Relations developing between the USA and the EU are valuable not only to the countries themselves but also to the whole international community, that is why incompatibility of transatlantic partners‘ positions on main issues in international politics in the 21st century is one of the most relevant questions when analysing international politics
