Over the past decade, socially responsible investing (SRI) has grown rapidly due to increasing awareness of global challenges such as climate change and poverty. Institutional and individual investors have begun to incorporate sustainability values into investment decisions leading to broader supply and higher demand for SRI funds. SRI funds are financial instruments which are based on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and are considered long-term investments. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether Nordic SRI equity funds outperform conventional funds during market crises and in the long-run.
