Some of the thickest and oldest ice in the Arctic Ocean is disappearing. This radio broadcast (2003) reports on new large cracks found in the Ward Hunt Ice Shelf, which had been intact for the last 3000 years. Scientists say these cracks are a sign of a warmer Arctic climate.
