Art L. Marx oral history interview

This is an oral history interview with Holocaust concentration camp liberator Art L. Marx. Marx was a member of the 11th Armored Division, which liberated Mauthausen on May 6, 1945. Marx did not spend very much time at the camp, but he saw many newly liberated prisoners on the road; the prisoners all asked for food, which the soldiers gave. On one occasion, his unit was escorting some German prisoners of war, and Marx saw two freed prisoners from the camps kill one of the Germans, whom apparently they recognized
