Abstract

The high-tech, metallic look of this building reflects its corporation\u27s function. It is so sited that traffic from either direction on Interstate 275 receives a full view of the angles at 120 degrees. The Lemon Street facade with its outside staircase contrasts sharply with this view. Another contrast is provided by the metallic and white outside and the colors inside (red for ceiling, stairs, railing; blue for floor; green foliage). The generously spaced two-story lobby is open to the second-story cafeteria, whose glass east wall gives a fine view of the trees outside. This building was designed by the Fleischman-Garcia firm, responsible for some of Tampa\u27s best architectural designs. This is a view from the south. Title supplied by...
