Oral history interview with charter boat captain Joe Clanton. Clanton, a native of Fort Pierce, is a firefighter who runs a part-time charter boat business. He started fishing at age five and has been a charter captain for five to seven years. Clanton is not very familiar with the Oculina Bank and has not been affected by any of the regulations to the area. He supports regulating the fishery but questions the statistics that are being used to set the regulations. His favored management tools are bag limits, increased enforcement, and talking to local fishermen, who are the most familiar with the fishery.
